Ca 'Amata, was born on the land properties of Count Giovanni Rizzetti. This was one of the intellectuals who referred to the circle of the Riccati family of well-known mathematicians and he was the first of them to deal with architecture. Rizzetti wanted to modify the building to make it a sort of "high school" according to the principles of the "Schola Riccatiana" where scholars and scientists could meet and carry out their research; he then dedicated himself to a series of interventions on the pre-existing building, based on his research on the proportional harmonic Mean, a rule that conditioned the development of architecture up to the present day. Harmonic Mean that will be greatly appreciated by Francesco Maria Preti and by Giordano and Francesco Riccati.
